Webhooks and inbound events
Receive supported inbound message and delivery events in another application.
Before making production changes: exact screen names and platform behavior can change as GoHighLevel, Android, carriers, and the underlying messaging platform evolve. Test changes on a controlled deployment first.
Endpoint requirements
Use HTTPS, respond quickly, authenticate/verify events where the platform provides a mechanism, and log identifiers rather than sensitive message content when possible.
Reliability
- Make handlers idempotent so duplicate events do not create duplicate actions.
- Queue slow downstream processing.
- Return a successful response only after the event is safely accepted.
- Monitor failures and retries.
Testing
Test inbound SMS, delivery events, invalid signatures/credentials if applicable, duplicate events, and temporary endpoint failure.
