Before making production changes: exact screen names and platform behavior can change as GoHighLevel, Android, carriers, and the underlying messaging platform evolve. Test changes on a controlled deployment first.

Before you begin

Have a supported Android phone, active carrier SIM, stable power, internet access, access to the GHL agency/location you will connect, and a small set of test contacts you control.

Recommended first-deployment sequence

  1. Prepare a dedicated Android device and carrier line.
  2. Connect the gateway device to your ASG account.
  3. Authorize the GoHighLevel connection and choose the supported location/deployment.
  4. Send one outbound test message to a phone you control.
  5. Reply from that phone and confirm the reply reaches the expected GHL Conversation.
  6. Test one workflow-generated message.
  7. Test opt-out behavior before any client campaign.
  8. Document the device name, carrier, number, client, and GHL location.

Before production

Do not treat a new mobile line as unlimited bulk capacity. Review your carrier plan and acceptable-use policy, begin with legitimate conversational traffic, and monitor delivery and opt-outs as volume increases.

Still not working? Contact ASG with the device name, carrier, GHL location, approximate timestamp, and the exact step that failed.
