Connect and organize GHL locations
How to keep multi-client GHL deployments organized without mixing devices, numbers, or locations.
Before making production changes: exact screen names and platform behavior can change as GoHighLevel, Android, carriers, and the underlying messaging platform evolve. Test changes on a controlled deployment first.
Use a clear deployment map
For every gateway, document the ASG device name, phone number, carrier, physical device owner, GHL location, and client owner.
Recommended naming
Use a repeatable format such as ASG-CLIENTNAME-01. Avoid generic names such as “Phone 1” once you have multiple client deployments.
Before adding another location
- Confirm the first location sends and receives correctly.
- Confirm replies land in the right Conversations inbox.
- Confirm the device/SIM assignment is documented.
- Add the next location only after the previous one has passed testing.
Still not working? Contact ASG with the device name, carrier, GHL location, approximate timestamp, and the exact step that failed.
