Send your first GHL test message

A safe first-message test that confirms the whole path from GHL through the Android gateway.

Before making production changes: exact screen names and platform behavior can change as GoHighLevel, Android, carriers, and the underlying messaging platform evolve. Test changes on a controlled deployment first.

Test sequence

  1. Use a contact record tied to a phone you control.
  2. Send a short plain-text message from the supported GHL messaging path.
  3. Watch the Android phone and ASG activity view for sending status.
  4. Confirm the recipient receives the message from the expected mobile number.
  5. Reply from the recipient phone and confirm the reply appears in GHL.

If outbound works but inbound does not

Confirm the reply reached the Android phone, then check GHL mapping and inbound forwarding/webhook behavior.

If neither direction works

Start with the physical phone: power, internet, carrier signal, active SIM, gateway app status, and manual SMS service.

Still not working? Contact ASG with the device name, carrier, GHL location, approximate timestamp, and the exact step that failed.
