Import and organize contacts
Prepare CSV imports, groups, and tags for supported contact-management tools.
Before making production changes: exact screen names and platform behavior can change as GoHighLevel, Android, carriers, and the underlying messaging platform evolve. Test changes on a controlled deployment first.
Before importing
- Remove duplicates.
- Normalize phone numbers to a consistent country/format.
- Keep only contacts you have a lawful and appropriate reason to message.
- Include clear headers for name, phone, and other fields you need.
Use groups and tags intentionally
Organize by client, campaign, lifecycle stage, or consent source instead of creating dozens of vague labels.
After import
Test a small group first and verify variables before using the full list.
