Build SMS drip sequences
Create multi-step follow-up with delays while avoiding overlapping or excessive messaging.
Before making production changes: exact screen names and platform behavior can change as GoHighLevel, Android, carriers, and the underlying messaging platform evolve. Test changes on a controlled deployment first.
Plan the sequence first
Write the goal of each step before building it. Each message should have a reason to exist.
Recommended build process
- Create the first message and delay.
- Add the next step only after the first is tested.
- Use stop conditions when a person replies, books, opts out, or reaches the goal.
- Test the full sequence with your own number.
Avoid collision
Review GHL workflows and other automations so contacts are not receiving duplicate follow-up from multiple systems.
