Warm up a new SMS line responsibly
Use a gradual ramp instead of immediately pushing high automated volume through a new mobile line.
Before making production changes: exact screen names and platform behavior can change as GoHighLevel, Android, carriers, and the underlying messaging platform evolve. Test changes on a controlled deployment first.
Why warm up
New numbers and new usage patterns can attract carrier scrutiny. Gradual, legitimate messaging gives you time to discover problems before a large client campaign.
Practical approach
- Start with normal conversational traffic and controlled test audiences.
- Increase volume gradually while watching replies and opt-outs.
- Avoid sudden spikes, repeated identical copy, or questionable lead lists.
- Review the carrier terms for automated/business use.
Important
Warm-up is not a guarantee against filtering or carrier action. Consent, content, reputation, and carrier policy still matter.
Still not working? Contact ASG with the device name, carrier, GHL location, approximate timestamp, and the exact step that failed.
